AXM-WEB2 Firmware Update Procedure
The following document outlines how to update the firmware of the AXM-WEB2 module. To perform the update users must have access to the meter's web interface. The WEB2 module supports two Ethernet ports as well as WiFi, users can implement either of these three methods to access the web server.
Enter the meters IP address onto a web browser, a login page will be displayed.
NOTE: The recommended web browsers to access the meters web interface is Google Chrome or Firefox.
Login using the default username admin and default password admin.
Users will be redirected to the Dashboard.
Click on the 'Settings' tab on the main menu located on the top of the web page.
On the settings page select the 'Firmware' tab.
This page will display the current firmware version of the WEB2 module.
Click on 'Choose File' and select the firmware file. All AXM-WEB2 firmware files have .a2up file format.
Once the firmware is selected click on 'Upload'.
The firmware may take 1-2 minutes to upload depending on the size of the firmware file.
Once the firmware has uploaded successfully, the firmware will be ready to process.
Click on the 'Process' button to begin the firmware update.
The firmware will take about 1-2 minutes to update.
Users can view the details of the update by clicking on the 'Show details' button.
Once the firmware update is complete the user will be prompted with the following screen.
After the update the module is rebooted, which takes 1-2 minutes to complete.
After the reboot is finished, log back into the web server.
Select the 'About' tab from the main menu bar on the top of the page.
Users will be redirected to the Device Information page.
On this page users can verify if the firmware was updated successfully.
